Welcome from our Principal
Our Vision and Values
Our school’s vision is to nurture a supportive and inclusive community where students are motivated to excel in all areas of potential, intellectually, creatively, physically, socially and emotionally. We aim to build on the strong foundations long established at Casula High School and maintain our core student values of Safety, High Expectations, Achievement, Respect, and Prepared, promoting a culture of mutual respect, responsibility, and resilience. We believe that when students feel safe, valued, and connected, they are empowered to make learning their number one priority every day and every lesson.
High Expectations Culture
As the Principal, I champion a culture of high expectations. At Casula High School, this philosophy guides everything we do. High expectations mean setting clear standards around learning, attendance, behaviour, uniform, and classroom engagement.
- Student learning: Every student is to make learning their number one priority and not interfere with the teachers right to teach and the students rights to learn.
- Attendance and Punctuality: Every student is expected to attend school and classes on time each day because consistent attendance is fundamental to learning and achievement.
- Uniform: Wearing the full school uniform with pride fosters a sense of belonging and community. It also reflects respect for ourselves and others.
- Respectful Behaviour: We uphold a respectful and positive learning environment where all students and staff treat each other with kindness and consideration.
- Electronic Devices: Responsible use of technology is critical. Our school has clear policies to ensure devices support learning rather than disrupt it.
Partnership with Families
We recognise that student success is a shared responsibility, and strong partnerships between home and school are essential. Communication with parents and carers is a priority for us, and we encourage your active involvement in your child’s education. Whether it’s through attending school events, participating in parent forums, or regular communication with teachers and staff, parent support plays a vital role in fostering motivation and growth in your child.
Opportunities and Support
Casula High School is committed to providing a wide range of programs and initiatives to support every student’s development. From HPGE opportunities and leadership programs to wellbeing, extracurricular activities, disability provisions and cultural connection, our goal is to ensure every student finds their strengths and passions and develops skills for life beyond school. We have dedicated staff who work tirelessly to guide our students in their post-school pathways, whether that be further study, vocational training, or employment.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education as we work together to meet high standards and embrace learning with enthusiasm, I am confident all our students will achieve their dreams.
